The Olympics and Lake Placid - Our History and Legacy.
You can spend hours or days taking in the winter sports playground and active training centers that are the Olympic Venues. You can't do your entire bucket list in one trip so check out all the Olympic Regional Development Authority has to offer with Events, Skiing and Riding, Skating, Bobsled Rides, Olympic Ski Jumps, the Winter Olympic Museum - Lake Placid's Keeper of Dreams and much, much more. For schedules, tickets and prices, visit  www.whiteface.com
Things to do
You can do it all or relax and do nothing. Something you won't be able to ignore is the stunning beauty of the 6 million acre Adirondack Park. Decide to exert some energy on the biggest vertical drop in the East - skiing or riding at Whiteface, using the Wildwood as base camp for your Adirondack experiences,  here to compete, attend a wedding or conference, the Whiteface Lake Placid region is a four season destination for travellers and recreation seekers. With so much to do and see it would be impossible to keep our site current without linking to specific sites that detail schedules, costs and explanations of the adventures ahead.

Here are some suggestions of ours that'll make your planning a little easier!
The best resource for What To Do is the Lake Placid Visitor's Bureaus website...
Never has so much to do, so little time to do it been so true!
Take a guided fishing trip and hey you never know! Resident manager Stuart Hemsley caught a fish of a lifetime with guide Zac Horrocks in June this year. You won't see this 20.5lb Lake Trout mounted at the Wildwood, it's back in Lake Placid to get even bigger!
